The current privacy policy applies to every user of lama.pics

lama.pics hosts digitalized images and photos from its users.

The current website and all collected data are hosted in the European Union territory, in France.

Under the amended Act 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, users (hereinafter referred to as “you”), whose personal data is collected or is subject to collection, enjoy personal data protection rights.

In its capacity as data processor, lama.pics commits to ensuring the respect for your privacy and protecting processed personal data:

  • Legally, fairly and transparently with regard to the person concerned
  • Collected for a determined, explicit and legitimate purpose
  • Adequate, pertinent and limited to what is necessary with regard to the purposes for which they are processed
  • Processed in order to ensure the appropriate security of personal data

Personal data

Article 4.1 of the General Data Protection Regulation: “Personal data” means any information relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly.

Data subjects’ rights

Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation: The data subjects have rights over their data including the right to access, rectification, objection, restriction, erasure and portability of your personal data.

General Data Protection Regulation

Indicates the legal corpus relating to personal data protection, including amended Act 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, and any new laws and implementing decrees, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), an important reference in the area of personal data protection, which came into effect on 25 May 2018.

Article 4.7 of the General Data Protection Regulation: “Controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

Confidentiality and Data Protection Policy

Collected data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, the processing referred to in this Confidentiality and Data Protection Policy are supported by a specific legal basis.

As an anonymous user

No data are collected.

As a user identified by their personal account

  • Email address (consent) : allow the communication between You and lama.pics as well as allowing services such as password recovery to work.
  • Display name (consent) : the name by which You want to be identified and receive emails from lama.pics or the name displayed on your portfolio.

All data can be updated anytime.

How long are personal data stored?

Data collected on a voluntary basis : until account termination.

Unless otherwise stated, updates history are not stored.

Upon account termination, data are stored up to 30 days to allow the user to cancel the deletion request or to retrieve their personal data. Beyond that retention period all data effectively and definitively deleted.

Recipients of the personal data processed by lama.pics

The only recipient of personal data that you may transmit is lama.pics, which processes it.
No data are transmitted to a third party.
No third party services is allowed to access, directly or indirectly, personal data.

Security measures implemented by lama.pics

lama.pics has committed to implementing all the technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of personal data processing and the confidentiality of your data, in compliance with the Act on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, and any new laws and implementing decrees, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Therefore, lama.pics takes all the necessary security precautions with regard to the nature of your data and the risks involved in the processing in order to protect the confidentiality and the integrity of data. This consists of preventing data from being distorted or damaged or non-authorized third parties from having access.

Exercising rights (Legal requirement)

Personal data protection regulations recognize that people whose data is collected have the possibility to exercise certain rights

  • A right to access: You have the right to attain confirmation of whether or not your personal data is processed, and when it is, to attain access to the said data and a certain amount of additional information.
  • A right to rectification: You may ask that the data concerning you be corrected or supplemented if it is inexact.
  • A right to deletion: You may request the deletion of the personal data concerning you.
  • A right to objection: You may object at any time for reasons regarding special circumstances, personal data processing based on public or legitimate interest of lama.pics.
  • A right to portability: You may recover the data you provided the Ministry, in a structured format, commonly used and legible by a machine.
